Christmas Margarita

Expected the unexpected with the new twist on holiday cocktails. We tried and perfected the Christmas Margarita and are ready for the HOLIDAZE! Are you?

For this seasonal cocktail, pomegranate and tequila take the center stage. We took the classic definition of a margarita and added a few other ingredients to change it up. It’s not often that tequila is in holiday cocktails, right?! But this one is stellar. Why not bring our favorite drink to the holiday festivities and share it with others?

Ingredients: Pomegranate Juice Tequila Cointreau Fresh Lime Juice Simple Syrup

Of course, the perfect Christmas margarita needs a salt rim! Salt brings out the sweet and sour flavors in this seasonal drink.

Here’s how to make a salt rim:

  1. Use kosher salt or flaky sea salt, but not table salt. These types of salt are chunky and make for just the right texture on the rim.

  2. Take a lime wedge and cut a notch in the middle. Then slide it around the rim of the glass.

  3. Rim the outside edge only. Spread the salt on a plate in an even layer. Tilt the glass into the salt so that it sticks to the outside edge. Shake off any loose salt.

Now that your glass is ready, set it aside and get ready to make your cocktail. Combine the cranberry juice, tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice.

Next, strain it into a glass and serve with ice! HAPPY HOLIDAZE my friends.
